At Lindores, we believe that a business should try and do more than just offer exceptional services— it should also give back to the community that supports it. From sourcing local products to collaborating with schools, supporting charities and providing a welcoming destination for community events, we are deeply committed to making a positive impact on our wonderful region and beyond.
Supporting Our Local Producers
One of the cornerstones of our community commitment is our strong relationship with local producers and suppliers. We work closely with nearby fellow farmers, distilleries, chefs and artisans to ensure that the experiences we offer are created using products sourced as locally as possible. By doing so, we not only reduce our carbon footprint but also support the livelihoods of individuals and families in our area.
Here are some of our partners and what services they bring to the farm:
Lindores Abbey Distillery – A collaboration since 2017 – for events, drinks packages for guests, we supply our barley for their whisky production and also we take their waste product ‘draff’ to feed to our stock. You’ll often find one of the team in The Hide or The Barley House.

A Venue for Community Connection
Our diversified farm is more than just a place to stay – it’s a platform for bringing people together. We love events that encourage people to connect – anything from workshops, hosting family gatherings and welcoming community meetings. People are important and by providing a welcoming space, we help foster a sense of belonging and shared purpose.

Educational Support Through RHET
We are passionate about education and believe in the importance of teaching young people about agriculture and the environment. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET) to bring school children to Lindores. Through this collaboration, we offer children hands-on learning experiences about farming, sustainability and the importance of local food production. Our most recent RHET Fife day was 19th March 2025 where we welcomed 88 Primary 6’s from the local schools.
By welcoming school children to Lindores – they stimulate experience 7 topics: woodlands, cereals, machinery, diversification, butter making, quality meat scotland cooking demo, sheep & wool production plus vegetable production and benefits. The day aims to instil a deeper understanding of where food comes from and how the children can make more sustainable choices in their daily lives, consider careers in the countryside and learn outside.

Fundraising for Scottish Air Ambulance
On the farm we have Equestrian Training Facilities that sometimes require the assistance of this wonderful charity the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance. We’re proud to support the them through direct debits and fundraising. There is a helicopter base in Perth featuring a crew of paramedics, pilots and helicopters. They receive no government funding and rely on donations alone. They’re an incredible charity that continues to provide critical care when it’s needed the most.

Lindores Equestrian
Lindores Equestrian is a central hub for the equestrian community – fostering a strong connection with riders from across all of Scotland. With multiple well maintained facilities, it not only provides a safe and supportive venue for training but also plays a crucial role in nurturing and developing equestrian talent at all levels. Our dedication to the sport goes beyond just training, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming environment that encourages growth, camaraderie and skill-building. We try our best to create safe spaces for instructors, charities and hosts to operate. We take unbelievable pleasure collaborating with charities and small business owners. We believe this is helping to elevate the sport and support the vibrant community – ensuring a brighter future for charities, businesses, riders and horses alike.
