Your summer at Lindores awaits! Whether it’s an action packed family adventure full of exciting activities & days out or a relaxing rural break to enjoy the breathtaking views from our bubbling hot tubs – we have something for everyone!
To inspire and help you plan your summer, we are launching a series where we will share tips on things to do and places to visit, many of them for free! We’ll share adrenaline charged activities, historic landmarks, tasty food & drink venues and helpful itineraries when exploring Fife, Perthshire, Angus and beyond with your family and dogs.
For this week, we have chosen to share 4 awesome activity venues which are perfect for all ages and ability. There is water sports, outdoor adventure – and of course, somewhere to reward yourself with coffee & cake afterwards!

Willowgate Activity Centre, Perth – 22 minutes by car
Adventure awaits at Willowgate – From Archery to Axe Throwing, Wild Swimming to White Water Paddleboarding, they have a huge range of fun activities in Perth for you to enjoy! There’s family fun for all ages with friendly and welcoming instructors – a must visit while you stay at Lindores! Finish off your day by taking a short scenic drive to the beautifully picturesque town of Dunkeld and enjoy a delicious well deserved treat from Aran Bakery and continue your adventures by exploring The Hermitage, Ossian’s Hall, Rumbling Bridge or the vast Tay Forest Park.
St Andrews Beach & Blown Away – 30 minutes by car
Blown Away is a mobile outdoor experience company specialising in beach based activities. Their awesome water sports include Surfing, Kayaking and Paddleboarding. They are based on West Sands Beach in St Andrews just 30 minutes from the farm. After riding the waves and exploring the 2 mile beach, famous for it’s feature in the opening scenes of the movie ‘Chariots of Fire’, you can enjoy a delicious ice cream at Luvians Bottle Shop and select some artisan wine & whisky.
Wild Shore Dundee – 27 minutes by car
Wild Shore is a water-based adventure centre offering a number of unique and adrenaline charged outdoor activities including an Aqua Park, Wakeboarding, Ringo and Open Water Swimming. Located at the City Quay in Dundee, Wild Shore is the perfect day out for families and friends. Once you have conquered your chosen activities, you can adventure into the City centre and visit the impressive V&A design museum or The Dundee Science Centre and finish your day off with fish & chips by the iconic Tay Bridge.
AirThrill Perth – 27 minutes by car
AirThrill has it all- trampolines, inflatable fun, basketball, football, dodgeball & ninja. It’s an ideal spot for entertaining thrill seekers of all ages. From kids parties, family days out or an outing for your groups of friends, AirThrill has it covered. Adding to your trip, you could take a hike up Kinnoull Hill, visit the historic Scone Palace – the original home to The Stone of Destiny or relax in one of the many restaurants & bars throughout the city.
